A Word on Worship

This past Sunday the presence of God during worship and the sweetness of the Holy Spirit seemed evident to all. Some speculated it might have been due to great prayer meeting before the service. Prayer paves the way. Afterwards, I said “Wasn’t the worship good!” and the Lord spoke a correction. Pastor Mike heard the Lord say “Wasn’t it good to worship!”

It’s like comparing a flashlight to the sun. Watching someone perform, granted with talent, maybe God-given gifting and heartfelt worship on their part, cannot compare with the experience of worshipping God for yourself. Never settle for watching others worship. Pour out your heart when you sing to the Lord. Give it your all. In light of His goodness and love, the greatness of His kingdom and power and glory… He deserves a worship that is profound and real. Next time remember to forget who might be listening. Worship God with all your might!
